Magician's Curse {Djimmi TFTG Twinning HP MC}

“You look like a fool, falling for the first trick I learnt in genie school.”

What a spectacle. Rows upon rows of sitting people in the dark, talking unintelligible gossip while waiting for a show to start. At the front was a wide stage, concealed with deep red curtains. Behind the curtains was a large back stage, with numerous people within the room either holding drums or going out for light management. Two people in particular stood out, one sitting and the other pacing around in an almost panicked manner; a masked, cloaked figure and a rather busty lady in a sharp suit that did barely anything at all to hold her bust. The lady wore a top hat and large black high-heels, and her suit was black and white; her long hair was a dark brown, and she had light blue eyes, along with wearing blush on her pale skin that made her nervous face look even more red than it already was.

“Jim, Jim, Jim, what are we going to do? What are we going to do?” the woman squeaked, her voice loud and frightful; they had been hyping up their first show for months, yet they had nothing to show for it except for her own fanservice.

“Jim” turned to face her and gave a quizzical tilt, shuffling before speaking.

“Worry not, Jeram, worry not!” He blurted, kicking his legs back and forth in his all-concealing cloak, managing to look cheerful even with the expressionless mask. The contrast between his haunting appearance and his deep, jovial voice still caught Jeramiah off-guard, and why wouldn’t it? His outfit almost made him look like a Hollow Knight character, with the rough cloak, dark colors, and blank white, horned mask, decorated with a red gem on its forehead and with feathers on the sides; he looked like a death omen, yet had the voice of a confident, powerful young man. That cloak must have had something special about it, because no matter how much he exaggerated his movements, his arms and legs were never visible. He stood up and looked down at Jeramiah, seeming to unintentionally loom over her; even when he was sitting he towered over her standing.

“Why?” Jeramiah whimpered, looking dead at “Jim.” “The show’s supposed to start soon, and we have nothing to show! Nothing!”

“Are you sure about that, Jeram? I have plenty of ideas, if you’re just willing to play along!” He chipped, sitting back down with a harsh thump. “We really only need to use one…”

Jeramiah stood in place from her pacing and looked up at “Jim,” intrigued. “One?”

“Jim” stood back up, as if shocked that she was interested. “Yes, just one!” He laughed. “It’s a classic, but it will shake the entire audience! It’s among one of the first tricks I learned in my line!

First tricks? Jeramiah was skeptical, but she leaned in closer to hear more.

“If you’ll just trust me on this, boss, we could save the show! Up for it?”

She yanked at her collar to let some heat out, fixing up her frazzled hair before sighing. She bowed and nodded, before “Jim” squealed with delight and jumped about, his massive size shaking the room.

“Yes, yes! Just follow my lead when the time comes!”

She was skeptical yet again, but it was too far in to back out now: a magician following their assistant, and not the other way around? She sighed again, now a bit calmer, and decided to roll with it.

After cleaning up and reapplying her makeup, they waited until it was time to start the show. Jeramiah nodded to the people above to start the spotlights, the drum players to start a drumroll, the machinery managers to start the fog, and the people ahead to open the curtains. “Jim” leaned over to whisper into Jeramiah’s ear, with her nodding and going into the position right before a bow. “Jim” took one of his hands out of his cloak, with Jeram noticing something odd about it for a brief second before he snapped his fingers, enveloping her in an intensely foreign feeling, before she found herself in the outside fog and completed her bow. She straightened herself up, before taking her top hat and bowing again, the crowd applauding. Soon, in another plume of smoke, “Jim” appeared beside her, and she jumped slightly, looking up at him before looking back to the crowd.

“Welcome all, my dearies! I am Jeramiah Fahrenheit, and welcome to my magic stage! This is my assistant, Jim!” She boasted, clicking her heels and gesturing to “Jim,” who then bowed. “My assistant’s brilliance helped me achieve this position, so give him an equally-brilliant round of applause!”

The audience applauded, clapped, and cheered loudly, causing “Jim” to become slightly bashful at Jeramiah’s kindness.

“Jim wanted to do a nice magician’s classic, but we promise you, it’ll blow you out of your seats!”

“Jim” looked back over to Jeramiah, before he rustled his cloak again and took his hand out, snapping his odd hand again and causing a seat to magically appear from thin air beside Jeramiah, angled slightly towards him. She sat down, and the chair was surprisingly comfy, and she crossed her legs while looking at “Jim.” He rustled in his cloak again, before taking out both of his hands, both wearing thick leather gloves, with one holding a strange item and the other gesturing towards the strange item. The audience gossiped among themselves, before Jeramiah took more details of the odd thing she noticed earlier: her assistant’s hands seemed odd for a reason, and that was because they were four-fingered, but it didn’t seem like the last digit was cut off; it looked like they were naturally like that. The item he was holding was strange as well, being a round red gem like the one on his mask, held with a pale, cream-colored feather band that wrapped around the sides of the gem, with the feather being used as a grip. This piqued her curiosity; just what did her assistant have in mind?

The large figure held the gem in front of her face, before slowly starting to sway it from side to side. So this was a hypnotism trick? Doesn’t it only work when the one doing the hypnosis tells them what they’re hypnotizing them to act like? Her thoughts were soon interrupted as she absent-mindedly became absorbed into the swaying gem, her eyes following the swinging from side-to-side. “Jim” chucked in an unusually ominous manner, before bursting into boisterous laughter.

“I have been waiting for this!”

With that, he used his free hand to grab the side of his ragged cloak and yanking it off dramatically, the flying cloak obscuring his entire body. When the cloak finally dropped to the ground, the crowd collectively gasped at the sight; the giant figure turned out to be a giant, unnatural-looking man, and all of his other clothes from his costume seemed to vanish into thin air. He had bright red skin, and looked top-heavy, with wide shoulders and muscular arms, but small hips and legs. His chest was buff and muscular as well, and his head lacked a nose and ears. He had thick black eyebrows, and his eyes seemed to have merged pupils and irises, making that part of his eyes look pure black.

Hanging from the side of his mouth was a wooden smoking pipe, and on his head was a large turquoise-and-cream turban with a gem and feather that looked identical to the one he was using to hypnotize Jeramiah. On his wrists were black-and-cream bands, and on his shoulders formed a turquoise-and-cream vest. Around his waist was a thick, large, cream-colored belt, and his pants were a light sky blue. On his feet were burnished gold-cream lamps with a metallic sheen. He floated in the air with seemingly no trouble, and he had a wide grin on his face.

“Now for my time to shine!” He gestured towards the crowd, still holding the gem in front of Jeramiah’s face. “I am Djimmi the Great, a genie of great renown! Now, for my newest and most brilliant trick!” He laughed, looking back over to a still-hypnotized Jeramiah, grinning and snapping his fingers again. Jeramiah’s eyes went wide as she felt an intense pain in her gut, and the audience gasped as she winced in pain.

She uncrossed her legs and clenched her teeth, twitching and feeling nauseous. Djimmi looked slightly shocked, and ducked down to meet eye-level with her, putting one hand under her chin to keep her head up. Was this pain not supposed to happen?

The scleras of her eyes became a bright, glowing yellow, and the black of her pupils seemed to bleed into her blue irises, turning them pitch black. Her brown hair deepened into a dark black, before the hair on her head started to disappear, leaving her with black eyebrows. These changes seemed to be making her feel very hot, causing her to sweat, leaving her to rub her head with her suit sleeve and rubbing the make-up off. Her pale skin started brightening in shade, before quickly becoming a bright, almost eye-hurting shade of red. Her large chest flattened, causing her to quickly feel her chest and heave slightly, before she felt her body and stature begin to grow. She grew in height and strength, her chest and arms becoming very thick, and her upper body becoming very muscular and strong.

Her suit tore apart and started dissipating into bright energy, morphing into clothing identical to Djimmi’s: a turquoise-and-cream vest, black-and-cream wrist bands, a thick cream belt, sky blue pants, and two metal lamps on her feet. Her hands jerked and twitched randomly in pain as two digits on each hand merged, leaving her with four-fingered hands. The pain in her gut returned, and she shrieked in pain as her- his gender changed, leaving him trembling in pain. Djimmi looked very nervous, with an almost terrified grimace, as if things were going wrong, and he was sweating nervously. Jeramiah’s nose and ears vanished into his head, and he slumped forward from his chair, panting, tired, and in pain, and Djimmi tapped on his shoulder, causing him to look up. When he looked up, Djimmi took the gem and feather and held it over his head, causing a bright light to form into the shape of a turban like his over his head, before solidifying into that object, and his head went down again.

He trembled, before he seemed to stop moving, staying in that position, and leaving Djimmi confused. Djimmi leaned down further, before noticing that Jeramiah was grinning widely. Jeramiah began to float like Djimmi, before he held his head up high and did a deep, loud, boisterous laugh like Djimmi, before going into a pained coughing fit and a brown smoking pipe formed in the corner of his mouth. He flew high into the air and began doing a two-handed, locked-hand rooting gesture, and Djimmi looked up and seemed… impressed. He grinned as well, laughing loudly, and doing a few cheery gestures while floating. Jeramiah grinned while looking at the confused audience, and he and Djimmi both bowed.

“The great work of we, both Djimmi the Great! Djimmi the Greats! Jeramiah- Djimmi boasted, his yellow scleras fading into a normal white. The audience cheered, even if it made no sense to them.

Djimmi was just surprised at the fact that it actually worked; that is not a trick that is taught in genie school.
