How sweet~
Queen Vespa held her furrowed brow in agitation, trying her best to drown out the annoying pipping of the strange, garishly-colored “pony” that had been making its presence more than known. For the past few hours, it was the same game:
“Hey, thorn-butt!”
“Hey, needle-butt!”
“Honey sucker, honey sucker!”
“What does one bee say when they want to tell another bee a secret? “Bzz, bzz!””
“What’s black, yellow, and white all over? My pan-“
That’s it, she was done; she didn’t want to deal with this when she died. The ghost’s form flared up as she roared:
“WHAT ARE YOU, AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?!”
The purple pony grinned smugly, before replying in a high-pitched voice:
“I am Midnight Devilwitch, and you WILL give me attention!!!”
Vespa had just about had it, and this thing’s voice just made things worse. So high, so… grating. Is it normal for these creatures to be so annoying? This is the only one of this “pony” kind that she has ever encountered, and it definitely wasn’t a good first impression. Vespa looked down upon the attention-seeking creature, before setting her feet on the ground; in all of the years that she’s been dead, she had never done that. The ghostly queen hunched over, her wings buzzing faster than ever; if it was attention that this “Midnight Devilwitch” wanted, it was attention that it was going to get!
Vespa summoned an ethereal blade in one hand, before she lunged forward, jabbing her nail into one of Midnight’s horns. Midnight’s horn snapped in two, sending the nail flying through and flinging the fragments of brown horn everywhere. Vespa created another nail, before lunging at Midnight again. Midnight hissed, before taking out her Dream Nail and slashing at the lunging ghost, absorbing her… absorbing her. Midnight whimpered, rubbing the remains of her broken horn, before looking around; nothing seemed out-of-the-ordinary, so she turned around to leave… and saw that the exit was blocked off by a solid honeycomb wall. Great, now how was she going to get out? She paced about, before her chest began hurting intensely…
Then, her head and eyes began throbbing and pulsing in intense pain, causing her to collapse over. Her normally four-colored eyes were soon dyed a dark, shiny black, and her eyes split into two sets, giving her four eyes. Her front legs seemed to become more arm-like, leading to her trying to hold herself up with a hand and elbow. Her spiky, lime-green mane and tail fell apart, and her bright-purple fur started turning a bright, pale yellow, even covering up her bright-red cutie mark. Her body became two segments; a carapaced torso and a thick abdomen. Her torso became a dark greyish-blue in color, turning into three curved segments and becoming much smaller where the abdomen and torso met. Her arm-like hooves were soon converted to full arms, becoming very thin, with a hooked claw for each hand and becoming segmented carapaces at the joints.
Around her neck, covering her mouth, shoulders, and the upper part of her torso was a muted, brownish-red fur covering. Her horns fell to pieces on the golden floors, before turning to dust on the ground. Her abdomen became very bulbous, with a pattern of black-and-yellow stripes along it and ending in a bright yellow stinger. Her back legs were converted to a plantigrade form, with two joints making up the entirety of her thin, carapace-covered legs, and connecting to the abdomen as it became most bulbous. Her head rounded off, losing her fangs and becoming a tear-drop shape, the tip starting at the back of the head and becoming much larger and rounder at the front. She completely lost her nose, and all of her jewelry fell off. From her back jutted out a pair of small, round, translucent bee wings, which buzzed quickly.
Vespa panted; that was very unexpected. She wanted to kill the little purple vermin, not… replace it! She slowly stood up and took a gander around; she was… alive? Alive? She buzzed her wings and stamped her legs; this made no sense! She looked ahead to see that the thick wall of sturdy honeycombs was now gone yet again, being wide open; she might as well look back at how her hive has been doing. She began hovering with her small wings, before flying down the corridor of her familiar domain.
